The Basic Senior Pension Budget for the Next Year in
Jeollanamdo to be 650 Billion Won
The total budget of the basic senior pension for the next
year in Jeollanamdo is reportedly set to be 650 billion won.
According to Jeollanamdo, it submitted a budget bill for the
year of 2015 to the provincial assembly and the total amount of budget for the
basic senior pension in the region came to around 650 billion won, an increase
of 42.7 percent compared to this year’s budget, taking up almost 12 percent of
the provincial budget.
One of provincial officials said that the major cause of the
sudden increase of the budget is the increase of total recipients.
Meanwhile, the Jeollanamdo budget for next year is set at
5.8 trillion won, an increase of 8.3 percent as compared with this year’s
budget. The budget will be allocated to various sectors, including job
creation, revitalization of the regional economy, eco-friendly agriculture
promotion, education, environment, and welfare.
