섬진강 따라 ‘동화마을’ 들어선다
‘Fairy Tale Village’ to be Constructed Along the Seomjin River
Gokseong-gun district launched a task force team to build a ‘fairy tale village’ along the Seomjin River to establish a town filled with fairy tale themed decorations and tourist attractions.
Comprised of municipal officials from the cultural tourism department in the district, the task force team will study and adapt successful cases of fairy tale themed tourist attractions.
The task force team is currently designing a town that features various tourist programs, such as a traditional folk tale path with installation art themed after Snow White, Cinderella and the Sleeping Beauty.
A nearby train village, goblin village and a Shimcheong Folk tale village will also be included in the plan for the major fairy tale tourist attraction, which is due for completion in the Gokseong-gun district by 2020.
