Taking a look at the weather,
Gwangju and Jeollanamdo are now
under the influence of the year’s 18th typhoon
Mitag.
Heavy downpours and strong winds
are expected to accompany the typhoon. The region is forecast to see some
100~300mm of rain while Jirisan and coastal areas are likely to take on more
than 400mm of precipitation.
Limit outdoor activities and urge
extra caution. Avoid walking or parking your car near low lying areas and those
near flowing water like rivers or streams. Pay extra attention to facility care
to minimize damages from the typhoon.
Temperature readings will be
measured in high 10s to low 20s ranges.
