Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, back into operation.

열 출력 급증 사고 빚은 한빛 1호기 발전 재개

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) Hanbit Nuclear Headquarters on Wednesday announced that its reactor Unit 1 will start operating from this afternoon.

Unit 1 first operated on May 9^th of this year. However, it stopped its operation on the same day due to a sudden increase of thermal energy.

KHNP will proceed with 16 schemes of recurrence prevention measures, which were set up by Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC), step by step.

Currently Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3 and 4 are under inspection and have been stopped for long time.
