Registration for ‘Ironman 70.3’ Continues
The number of participants for the IRONMAN 70.3 program or the international triathlon championship continues to increase since the opening of the application webpage for the competition at jeonnamtriathlon.com.
A total of 213 participants registered for participation and among them, some 186 Korean participants made reservations and the remaining 27 international participants submitted applications for participation at ironman.com in English.
Jeollanamdo expects that the target number for participants, around 1,000, will be reached by September 15th.
The province also plans on carrying out various promotional activities targeting triathlon club members in Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Southwestern Asian regions.
IRONMAN 70.3 championship is hosted by the World Triathlon Corporation and includes a 1.9-kilometer swimming route, a 90-kilometer biking path and a 21-kilometer long running course. It will take place for the first time in Jeollanamdo in Gurye on October 4th.
