광주 송정역 수요예측 실패 "주차난, 교통체증" 초래
Gwangju SongJung(송정) Station demand assessment failure,
'parking troubles and traffic congestion'
Gwangju Station is practically having
difficulties with normal operations, and a forecast of expected users for
SongJung(송정) Station has also failed.
This was criticized by Jo OhSeob(조오섭), a member of the Democratic Party
representing Bukgu(북구) Gap(갑) Constituency on Oct. 21st.
Jo analyzed the national audit of the
government reports submitted from Gwangju City and the Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure and Transport.
The expected daily average of users
of Gwangju Station in Nov. 2008 was 6,446 people and for Songjung(송정) Station, 8,785 users.
According to this expectation, the
Ministry remodeled SongJung(송정) Station in 2015. However, there
were almost 'triple' this many users counted as of Dec. 2019, showing a very
mistaken forecast.
As of Dec. 2019, the daily average
users were counted at 25,646 people.
