May 18th Archives Academic Conference spotlighting Domiyama Daeko(도미야마 다에코), artist who let Gwangju be known

The May 18th Democratization Movement Archives Center will hold an academic conference spotlighting Domiyama Daeko, a Japanese artist.

According to the Archives Center on Nov. 10th, the conference will be held with the theme of 'Artist trespassing the boundaries : Domiyama Daeko's life and art.'

This is focusing on the artist's movement which let the isolated Gwangju be known to the world.

There will be the 'Prayer for the Fallen,' which was produced in 1980, displayed for the first time in the country as well.
