"Muan(무안) Airport to include Gwangju," Jeonnam Province approves the request for changing name

Gwangju City requested Muan(무안) International Airport include the name 'Gwangju,' which Jeonnam Province has approved.

This is according to Jeon DongHo(전동호), the Director of Construction and Transportation of Jeonnam Province, on Nov. 19th.

There was a briefing held at Jeonnam Provincial Hall at which detailed promotion measures including the name change of Muan(무안) Airport to include Gwangju were announced.

Jeon stated that "There were many controversies. However, there should be no more time-consuming arguments. Therefore, Gwangju City's request to change the Muan(무안) Airport to Muan(무안) Gwangju International Airport is approved."
