May Women’s Exhibition to be Held in Gwangju from Today
A commemorative artistic exhibition will be held which will showcase various activities carried out by women during the May 18th Democratic Movement in 1980.
The Gwangju and Jeonam Women’s Association has announced it will hold an artistic exhibition with the theme, ‘Women in May and Their Spirit’ from today to July 7th at the 1st floor lobby of the Gwangju City Hall.
The exhibition features artworks that depict female democratic activists who carried out volunteer activities, street demonstrations and organizational help for citizen protestors.
In addition, art works will be shown which include realistic depictions of the democratic uprising and the aftermath of the state violence.
