Gwangju Jeonnam wtih 39 patients each, Omicron countermeasures preparation ongoing

The Gwangju and Jeonnam regions are alarmed with continued COVID19 transmission as countermeasures for the new variant Omicron are underway as well.

According to Gwangju City on the 2nd, there were 39 new patients found in the city yesterday.

These include 16 additional cases related to a choir group in the Donggu(동구) district as well as 2 more cases related to a hospital in the Seogu(서구) district.

In the Jeonnam region, there were 39 new patients added as well. They include 7 from GwangYang(광양), 6 from Hwasoon(화순), and 4 from Yeosu(여수).
