Gwangju hospital, choir group chain transmission continuing

Gwangju City is continuing to find chain transmission cases related to a hospital as well as a choir group, spreading to schools, workplaces, and acquaintances.

According to the health authorities of the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions yesterday, there were 36 new patients in Gwangju and 28 in the Jeonnam region as of 6pm in the evening.

Therefore, a total of 64 new cases were found in the regions yesterday, totaling 6,389 cases in Gwangju and 4,526 in the Jeonnam region so far.

Out of the 36 new patients in Gwangju yesterday, 11 are related to a choir group in the Donggu(동구) district as well as 7 additional student cases through chain transmission.

As for the Jeonnam region, the 28 cases included 7 from Suncheon(순천) and 5 from both Mokpo(목포) and Muan(무안).
