2025 World Archery Championships to be held in Gwangju, last Korean hosting 16 years ago

The 2025 World Archery Championships will be held in Gwangju City.

On the 6th, Gwangju City Mayor Lee YongSeob(이용섭) held an online briefing and announced that "The World Archery Federation decided to hold the 2025 World Archery Championships in Gwangju City."

This is the third time that South Korea will host the event following Seoul in 1985 and Woolsan(울산) in 2009.

16 years after Korea’s last hosting, the 2025 World Archery Championships will be held in the country between July and Sept. with 1,100 athletes and executive members from 90 countries participating.
