In Gwangju, 6 out of 10
citizens have a positive attitude toward the government's declaration of the
end of the Korean War.
According to the 'Peace,
Unification Citizen Recognition Survey' results from Gwangju City on the 12th,
66.4% of adults within the region evaluated the declaration of the end of war
as positive.
As for adolescents, 59.3% felt
positively, whereas 5.2% of the adults and 7.2% of adolescents evaluated the
declaration negatively.
Regarding unification, 65.2%
of adults and 53.1% of adolescents answered that it is necessary to unify.
The survey was requested by
Gwangju City, the Gwangju Office of Education, City South-North Exchange
Council to Polinsight, a professional research institution.
Therefore, between the 10th
and the 26th, 500 adults over 18 years of age and 610 adolescents in middle and
high schools were surveyed.
