광주·전남서 119명 신규 확진…산발적 확산 지속
Gwangju Jeonnam with 119 new patients found, sporadic transmission continuing
The Gwangju and Jeonnam regions had 119 new patients yesterday.
According to the health authorities on the 15th, there were 59 new patients found in Gwangju yesterday.
The transmission originated from Namgu(남구) district's Disabled Welfare Facility and spread to a kindergarten through contact between family members.
Therefore, 10 people including the kindergarten's staff, children, and parents were confirmed to be infected.
There were 8 additional patients from a middle school located in the Gwangsangu(광산구) district as well.
In the Jeonnam region, there were 60 new patients from 16 cities and counties.
These included 2 more suspected Omicron variant patients in Hampyeong(함평), where a total of 19 patients are awaiting close inspection for the Omicron variant.
