Foreigner employment to allow
12 workers per agricultural farm
In order to solve the
agricultural towns' labor shortage, the Foreigner Seasonal Labor System is
running full-time with Employment Permitted Capacity being extended as well.
Jeonnam Province revealed on
the 15th that such amendments to the Foreigner Seasonal Labor System will be in
effect from Jan. 1st next year.
The main amended contents are
that the temporary Seasonal Labor System will be possible all throughout the
year. Also, the Employment Permitted Capacity per agricultural farm will be
extended from 9 to 12 people.
Short-term employment with a
1-week base will be allowed as well.
As a result, Jeonnam Province
will be investigating the labor demands for each city and county to come up
with relevant strategies for seasonal farm work next spring.
