Gwangju with 9 Omicron patients confirmed, 8 who made contact under investigation

Gwangju City had cases of the Omicron virus variant found with others who made contact with them undergoing further investigation.

According to an online briefing held on the 21st by Gwangju City Mayor Lee YongSeob(이용섭), "There were 9 patients related to the Donggu(동구) district's public institution confirmed to be Omicron cases."

Also, 8 people who made contact with them have 'epidemiological relevance.'

As of midnight on the 21st, there were 227 Omicron variant infected patients found across the country.

However, for Gwangju City, these 9 cases are the very first of the Omicron variant.
