Gwangju Fire Trucks receive straight signals at intersections from next year
From next year onward, the Gwangju region's fire trucks will receive straight signals when entering the intersections.
Gwangju City established Emergency Vehicle Primary Signal System which automatically gives green lights to emergency vehicles when entering intersections.
This is the first such case in the Honam(호남) district, with onsite testing completed as well.
Therefore, the Emergency Vehicle Primary Signal System will enable emergency vehicles to request primary signalling which will be sent to the Traffic Information Center to extend the green signal period for the direction the vehicle is headed.
