'Suspected Omicron cases, multipurpose facilities', Gwangju Jeonnam with continued transmission
The Gwangju and Jeonnam regions are continuing with COVID19 transmission from multiple locations including schools, hospitals, and other multipurpose facilities as well as finding suspected cases of the Omicron variant.
According to the health authorities yesterday, there were 47 new patients in Gwangju and 41 in the Jeonnam region as of 6pm in the evening.
Therefore, a total of 7,477 patients have accumulated in Gwangju and 5,734 in the Jeonnam region so far.
There was also 1 more patient related to a restaurant and bar in the Namgu(남구) district where Omicron cases were confirmed.
Therefore, further investigations related to the Omicron cases are underway.
Also, in the Jeonnam region, there were 41 new cases including 8 from Mokpo(목포) and 6 from each of Yeosu(여수) and Hwasoon(화순) .
