Gwangju Jeonnam Omicron patients reached 200

The Gwangju and Jeonnam regions' Omicron variant cases have reached 200.

Also, there were 2 Omicron variant deaths in Gwangju, which were the first in the country.

According to the health authorities of the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions on the 3rd of Jan., there were 126 Omicron variant cases confirmed in Gwangju and 62 in the Jeonnam region.

This is for a total of 188 patients, along with 198 epidemiologically relevant cases in Gwangju and 18 in the Jeonnam region, totaling 216 cases.

Moreover, most of the Omicron variant cases were found to have completed their booster shots or 3rd round of inoculation, showing breakthrough transmission.
