Jeonnam Omicron confirmed cases accumulated to 62, mostly
breakthrough cases
The Jeonnam region’s confirmed Omicron
variant cases total 62 so far among 80 relevant patients in the province.
This is as of 8am in the morning of
the 3rd of Jan., with 2 diagnosed as difficult for analysis and 16 suspected of
epidemiological relevance.
Also, of the 60 cases confirmed as of
midnight the previous day, 23 were from Hampyeong(함평) and 16 from ShinAn(신안).
The Jeonbuk(전북) region's Omicron variant transmission has impacted the Hampyeong(함평) area, while a visit from a Gwangju patient resulted in the ShinAn(신안) region's transmission.
Also, as 12 cities and counties out
of a total of 22 were found with Omicron variant cases, the health authorities
analyzed that the actual transmission range is much larger.
