3 to 4,000 Foreign laborers can enter per month starting Jan.

The entrance of foreign laborers is returning to normal after a prolonged period of delayed entrance since April 2020 due to COVID19 transmission.

Therefore, the labor shortage for small and medium businesses is expected to be relieved.

This is as the government decided to normalize E-9 visa holder or foreign laborers' entrance with carefully followed preventative measures before and after entrance back in Nov. last year.

As a result of such a decision, there were some 2,500 foreign laborers who entered last month, which is a significant rise compared to some 700 people that have entered every month since the COVID19 pandemic.

Also, it is forecast that some 3,000 to 4,000 foreign laborers will be entering the country per month starting this year with 16 countries permitted for entrance.
