During the year-end and beginning of the year period, 1 out of
every 3 to 4 patients in Gwangju City were confirmed to be less than 18 years
old.
This is in the past week between Dec. 30th and Jan. 5th that 155
out of 572 total infected patients found within the city were underage.
This is 27% of the total number of patients found within the
period, with 70 of them under 10 years of age including kindergarten and child
care center's children, and 85 teenagers in elementary, middle, and high
schools.
Also, in Jeonnam’s Muan(무안) area, there was cluster transmission that occurred from an
elementary school where 24 patients were found including students and faculty.
