Yeongsan River Environment Administration to manage 10 national rivers
starting this year
The Yeongsan(영산) River Basin Environmental Office revealed on the 6th that the National
Rivers Management Tasks were transferred from the Iksan(익산) Regional Land Management Office.
Therefore, 10 national rivers with total lengths of some 476km will be
managed by the Yeongsan(영산) River Office from this year.
These 10 rivers include Yeongsan(영산), Seomjin(섬진), Tamjin(탐진), HwangLyong(황룡), Boseong(보성), Gwangju(광주), Hampyeong(함평), and other rivers.
Therefore, an organization reformation created a new department designated for 4 divisions of tasks.
