Truth and Reconciliation Commission received 3,900
requests from Jeonnam
There were some 3,900 cases of truth investigation
requested by the Jeonnam region for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in
the 2nd phase of the history-organizing committee.
According to the Commission on the 6th, there were a
total of 11,835 cases of truth investigation requests made by a total of 13,615
people across the country last year as of Dec. 9th.
There were 7,380 cases regarding incidents affecting
multiple civilians, with most having occurred in the period before and after
the Korean War.
There are 6,467 cases undergoing investigation, and of
the 3,986 cases requested by the Jeonnam region, 2,334 cases are included in
the ongoing investigation.
