Hiking Path to be Constructed in Jangseong
A hiking path featuring scenic roads and an observatory will be constructed in Jangseong this year.
With an investment of 2.4 billion won, the Jangseong-gun district has been working on the completion of four different tracking courses that feature scenic view spots over Mt. Byungpung and Jangseong-ho Lake as well as Mt. Chukryong (축령) and Mt. Taecheong (태청).
A 16-kilometer tracking course in Mt. Byungpung was completed last year, showcasing the famous phytoncide or cypress tree road.
An additional 7-kilometer hiking course linking Jangseong Dam and Jangseongho Lake will be completed this year along with a 6-kilometer tracking course near Mt. Taecheong and the existing Mt. Chukryong hiking path that stretches some 26 kilometers.
