2014 Suncheon Bay Wetland Experience Program to be Hosted

The city of Suncheon has announced it will host the ‘2014 Suncheon Bay Wetland Experience Event’ from today through this Sunday at the local International Wetland Center and the Suncheon Bay area.

Suncheon Bay and its wetland area was registered as Korea’s first Ramsar Wetlands, which is recognized for its well-preserved nature for wetland wildlife and its 230 different types of migratory birds.

Suncheon Bay Management Center will welcome the wetland week this week and offer various experience-oriented programs featuring the participation of Non-Governmental Organizations and Suncheon Bay Nature Ecological Interpreters.

Visitors to Suncheon Bay this week will be given opportunities to tour around wetlands in the region and take part in a variety of handicraft programs while traveling around the Suncheon Bay area.
