Tourists Surge into Suncheon Bay for the Holiday
As the spring tourism week began on May 1st, nationwide travelers surged into Suncheon Bay and its garden area over the weekend, marking 112,000 in attendance from May 1st to the 2nd.
The city of Suncheon predicts that some 300,000 tourists will make a visit to Suncheon Bay and its garden by Children's Day set for tomorrow.
Suncheon Bay Garden currently features a wide variety of spring flowers, such as canola flowers, azalea flowers and roses blooming across the garden.
The ecological experience center and wild animal zoo are offering various experience programs, such as making your own pots and turtle and snake experiences.
In addition, operation hours for Suncheon Bay Garden have been extended to 8 p.m. since May 1st and the garden area will be opened free of charge for children on Children's day set for May 5th.
Admission tickets to Suncheon Bay and its ecological park as well as the TV drama studio will be discounted from 25 to 50 percent throughout the spring tourism week.
