Control Tower of the Universiade, ‘Main Operation Center’ Begins Operation
An important control tower of the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, the Main Operation Center, began operation yesterday.
Constructed on the 12th floor of the building housing the organizing committee for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, the Main Operation Center will function as a major control tower of the Universiade, overseeing various issues regarding the upcoming multi-sport event.
The Main Operation Center will analyze possible problems found in running the Universiade and suggest solutions to issues in the administration of the Universiade, logistics, media, communication and the financial operation of the Universiade.
Equipped with the cutting edge information and communication technologies, the Main Operation Center will also closely monitor schedules for the games, events, meteorological conditions and CCTVs installed at the stadiums.
