NPAD Leader Moon Jae-in Visits Gwangju and says He will Give up All priorities
Main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy party chairman Moon Jae-in visited Gwangju, a traditional stronghold for NPAD and liberal politicians, yesterday.
At a meeting with citizens in Gwangju, Rep. Moon said he and other leaders of the party would remove all preferential treatment and recruit young and promising rookie politicians for a stronger and responsible opposition party.
In regard to the criticism of conflicts between the politicians who were close aids and strong supporters of the late former President Roh Mu-hyun and those who do not have direct ties to the late president, Rep. Moon said he and the party would be at the forefront of resolving trouble.
Moon also apologized for failing to properly respond to the public sentiment prevalent in Gwangju as the party lost to independent candidate, Cheon Jeong-bae, in the April 29th by-elections.
