Democracy, Human Rights and Peace Exhibition, ‘My Father’s Youthful Days’
The Gwangju Museum of Art will commemorate the month of May, a month that features May 18th Democratization Movement, and this year’s democracy, human rights and peace exhibition will be themed ‘My Father’s Youthful Days’.
Focusing on issues related to human rights and the values of families in the society of our fathers’ generation as they lived through the industrialization period, the ongoing exhibition will be held until June 7th at the Gwangju Museum of Art.
A total of 7 artists, such as the late Gu Bon-ju, Kim Hui-sang and Jang Chang-ik, are showcasing their work in the ongoing exhibition with artistic pieces in the areas of installation art, sculpture, and western painting.
In addition, to celebrate the family month of May and Parents’ Day today, the Gwangju Museum of Art will give roses to visitors who attend the special exhibition with parents. In addition, a letter-writing event will be held from today to the 10th.
