Hwasun Jeonam National University Hospital to Sponsor ‘1,000 won Restaurant’ in Gwangju
Hwasun Jeonam National University Hospital will sponsor the 1,000 won restaurant located in the Gwangju Daein Traditional Market and previously owned by the late Ms. Kim Seon-ja, who passed away after suffering from cancer in March.
In operation since July 2010, the ‘1,000 won Restaurant’ provided a full set meal to those in need and those struggling financially by selling lunch and dinner at affordable prices.
After Ms. Kim’s passing, individual and group donations continued to help keep the restaurant running and, with the recent decision by the Hwasun Jeonam National University Hospital to financially support it, the ‘1,000 won Restaurant’ will continue to offer cheap meals.
