Football Star Ki Sung-Yueng to Support 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade
Ki Sung-Yeung, who plays for the English Premier League, has purchased 1,000 tickets for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade that are to be distributed to needy families.
According to the city of Gwangju yesterday, the Universiade tickets purchased by Ki will be distributed through the Community Chest of Gwangju to youth from low-income families in Gwangju and North and South Jeolla Province so that they may have the opportunity to watch the games.
Football player Ki Sung-Yeung was born and raised in Gwangju and graduated Kumho High School. He played for the K-League and then moved to England where he has become the Asian athlete who scored the most goals in a season of the English Premier League. Ki is currently playing for the team, ‘Swansea City’.
