Former Hanyang University President Appointed as a Chief of the Universiade Athletes' Village

A former president of Hanyang University, Yim Deok-ho, has been appointed as chief of the Athletes' village for the Universiade in Gwangju.

Organizers for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade held an appointment ceremony for Yim yesterday at the organizing committee building.

Yim will mainly be in charge with official ceremonies inside the athletes' village and lead the delegation to meet with different representatives from sports delegations and coaching staffs across the nation.

Gwangju native Yim served as president of Hanyang University from 2011 until early this year and is an economics professor at the university.

The athletes' village for the Universiade will be opened in Gwangju on June 26th.
