The Automated Traffic Enforcement System Based on The Travel Time Speed to Be Installed on Yi Sun-sin Bridge
Jeollanamdo Government announced yesterday that ‘The Automated Traffic Enforcement System Based on The Travel Time Speed’ will be installed on Yi Sun-sin Bridge and a crackdown will begin from October.
According to Jeollanamdo, the system has been planned by the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency as a means to prevent large traffic accidents due to the speeding of cargo trucks.
The Automated Traffic Enforcement System Based on The Travel Time Speed will check whether the vehicles are speeding by calculating the average speed and compare it with the speed limit, which is 60km per hour.
The Traffic Enforcement System has been in operation on the southbound lane of Honam Express Way, leading to a decrease of 52% in the number of injured and a 62% decrease in fatalities.
