World Bamboo Fair Damyang Korea 2015 to Feature Bamboo-made Amenities
The Organizing Committee for the World Bamboo Fair Damyang Korea 2015 will reportedly construct all amenities inside the expo site using bamboo.
Tunnels, shades, rest areas, event booths and seating places for the exposition are expected to be produced using bamboo or bamboo-made construction materials to signify the characteristics of the fair.
A bamboo tunnel, which will be installed at the main entrance and along a major course stretching some 2 kilometers, is to be constructed with bamboo materials in different shapes and designs.
Around the tunnel, bamboo plants, flowers, paintings and pictures of bamboo will be exhibited throughout the expo period.
Last year. organizers for the fair recruited unemployed senior citizens who would like to participate to collect the necessary bamboo from Juknokwon or the bamboo forest area for construction of amenities at fair, which will be held from June 27th to August 15th, 2015.
