Local Medical School to Select 30 Percent of New Students Among Local
Students
In accordance with the enforcement of the Balanced Regional Human
Resources and Support for Local Universities Act, 69 local universities
nationwide will select some 7,500 students through the Local Students College
Entrance Standard from next year.
The Balanced Regional Human Resources and Support for Local Universities
Act will come into effect on July 29th.
Accordingly, some local universities, such as Cheonnam University and
Chosun University, will recruit new students with from a portion of students
who graduate from local high schools in the region.
In particular, local medical schools, dental schools and pharmaceutical
colleges should select 30 percent of local students as new students, while
local medical graduate schools as well as law schools must select 20 percent of
the total number of new students from local students.
