광주-대구 달빛동맹 자원봉사 프로젝트
Volunteer Activity Project for Dalbit Alliance
Gwangju and Daegu Municipal Volunteer Activity Center carried out volunteer activity as part of the Dalbit Alliance, a joint partnership established between representative cities from the Honam and Yeongnam regions.
Some 40 volunteers representing Daegu came to Gwangju and conducted volunteer activities and other experience programs such as paying respects at the May 18th National Cemetery and making rice balls to share the community spirit that was observed during the May 18th Democratic Movement.
Dalbit Alliance, named after Gwangju and Daegu’s old names of Bitgoeul and Dalgubeol, and its volunteer activity tie was launched last year in October for the first time.
Volunteers from Gwangju and Daegu will take part in joint volunteer activity programs between the cities once a year.
