Gwangju’s ‘Dreamket’ to be Sent to Africa in December
Previously produced on Nelson Mandela Day in Gwangju on July 18th to be sent to the children in need in Africa, ‘Draemket’ consists of school supplies for children, which will be sent to Africa in December.
According to the city of Gwangju, the city received some 400 items of school supplies, 500 t-shirts and 500 scarves for Korea’s first Nelson Mandela Day, which is an international celebration of the late South African President and human rights advocate, Nelson Mandela that was held in Gwangju on July 18th.
The citizens of Gwangju who took part in the Nelson Mandela Day event made ‘Dreamket’ and collected donations were sent to the Africa Asia Destitute of Relief Foundation and the dreamkets will be sent to African countries including Kenya.
