태풍 할롱 영향으로 주말동안 서남해안 바닷가에 피서객 북적
During the weekend, many summer
vacationers visited beaches and valleys in the southwestern parts of the
country, which were under the indirect influence of typhoon Halong situated off
the eastern part of the peninsula.
More visitor than usual came to some of
beaches in Jeollanamdo region, such as Myeongsasipri(명사십리) Beach in Wando-gun Country and
Manseongri(만성리) Beach in Yeosu City and enjoyed their
summer vacation. In addition, many tourists visited Mudeung Mt. National Park
in Gwangju.
Meanwhile, this year’s 11thtyphoon Halong brought heavy rain to areas along Korea’s east coast region
during the weekend, with up to 100 millimeters of precipitation in some areas.
In particular, heavy rain and flash
floods warning were issued for parts of Gangwon Province.
