82 Gwangju and Jeonam Athletes to Compete in the Incheon Asian Games
A total of 82 athletes based in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo will compete in the 2014 Incheon Asian Games set to take place from September 19th to October 4th in the city of Incheon.
In Gwangju, 36 athletes will compete in 25 sports categories and some 46 athletes from Jeollanamdo will play in a total of 27 sports games in the upcoming Asian games.
Athletes from Gwangju include former 2012 London Olympics gold medallist in gymnastics, Yang Hak-seon, and fencer, Choi Eun-sook, who won a silver medal in the group epee in the London Olympics.
In Jeollanamdo, 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medalist in badminton, Lee Yong-dae from Hwasun, and group archery gold medalist from 2008 Beijing Olympics, Ju Hyeon-jeong, will partake in the upcoming Asian Games as Korean representatives.
From Korea, a total of 831 athletes and 177 sports administrators will participate in the Games with some 13,000 athletes from across the Asia expected to visit Korea from September 19th to October 4th.
