United Nations Youth Leadership Kicks Off at Honam University

A joint project with the Organizing Committee for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade and United Nations Office for Sports Development and Peace will be held at Gangsan Campus of Honam University until August 30th.

A total of 33 youth from 17 countries, including China, Nepal, Vietnam and Malaysia, will take part in the youth leadership program participating in leadership education divided into gender equality, peace, overcoming handicaps and environmental protection.

At the orientation meeting held yesterday, secretary general of the organizing committee for the Gwangju Summer Universiade, Kim Yoon-seok and President of Honam University, Seo Gang-seok welcomed and congratulated the worldwide participants to the program.

Participants will also take part in the EPICS Forum set to be held on August 27th at Kimdaejung Convention Center.
