Moon Jae In announced pledges for Gwangju and Jeonnam
Moon Jae In, former leader of the Minjoo Party and leading in presidential hopefuls, announced his pledges for Gwangju and Jeollanamdo today, a week before the party's Gwangju open primary.
Key words for his pledges were Gwangju Spirit, Future Growth Engine and Jobs.
Moon said the spirit of the May 18 Democratic Uprising will be written in the Constitution to clarify constitutional meaning as well as the value of the uprising.
Especially, he said 임을 위한 행진곡(March for the Beloved) will be designated as the official commemoration song for the uprising, defamation of the uprising will be dealt with seriously under an amendment of related laws and he will oversee the formation of the May 18 Truth Unveiling Committee.
He also presented plans to foster the Bitgaram Innovation City as the center for the Energy New Industry by constructing the energy valley, improving settlement conditions, expanding the energy valley campus, designating it as an electric vehicle test bed and reenforcing the southwest marine energy generation plant industry.
He will head back to Seoul to participate in a TV debate for the Minjoo Party presidential hopefuls on the 21st and will come back to Gwangju on the 23rd and stay till the 27th, when the first open primary for the party will be held in Gwangju.
