Suncheon as a Tourism Mecca for Ecological Tours
The city of Suncheon has been transformed into an ecological tourism mecca since the successful hosting of the Suncheon Bay Garden Expo last year.
The popular experience programs, including a customized ecological tour for nationwide youth, attracted some 15,000 students from April to July.
Students from Hangju Elementary School in China and Beijing University also visited the area to participate in 25 different types of experience programs.
The city Suncheon also recently launched an Education Train, the ‘E-Train’ that travels across tourist attractions in Suncheon, offering educational lectures throughout the trip with the cooperation of the Korea Railroad Corporation.
Passengers of the E-train are able to enjoy historical sites at Nakan Fortress Village and cultural programs at the Trick Art Museum and the Suncheon Bay Garden.
